As a result, AKSA joined with Jamia Al-Karam, and under the patronage of Shaykh M I H Pirzada, once again brought another event to the city of Manchester on Sunday 1st July 2007 at the 2nd City Suite venue. This was the Gateway to Divine Mercy 2007 - Enlightening our Hearts. Truly, hearts were enlightened. However, due to the blessedness and sincerity that enveloped the event and due to the footprints of the true men of knowledge, not only were hearts enlightened, but minds were nourished with knowledge pouring from the tongues of those who had spent their lives seeking and teaching knowledge. Moreover, eyes were cooled by the sight of devoted Muslims being led in prayer, dhikr and insight by these noble and learned epitomes of sacred knowledge. This gathering of spirituality was blessed with the presence of Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Ya’qubi (Damascus), Shaykh Muhammad Amin al-Hasanat Shah al-Qurashi (Bhera), Shaykh Yusuf ‘Abd al-Wahhab ibn Mahmud Abu Sneina (Jerusalem), Shaykh Ahmed Tijani Ben Omar (Chicago), Shaykh M I H Pirzada (Jamia Al-Karam) and Hajj Ahmad Thomson (London). Members of AKSA also participated being led by Imam Muhammad Arshad al-Misbahi (Manchester), Abu Awais Imam Muhammad Zahoor Chishti (Oldham), Asif Ali al-Azhari (Retford), Bakhtyar Haider Pirzada al-Azhari (Retford), Gul Muhammad (Peterborough) and Irfan Faizi Chishti (Rochdale). Various local and national Qur’an recitors and nasheed singers displayed their skills enlightening the audience with pure devotion. Among them were the well-known group, SHAAM. Each scholar provided immense guidance and knowledge covering a variety of topics and themes that included true life and true death, the beauty in the dhikr of Allah (most high), the coolness of prayer, Islam and being Muslim, the mode of conduct of the youth in light of Prophet Yusuf (peace be upon him), significance of the land of Al-Aqsa, extremism and terrorism, seeking knowledge at the feet of the scholars, etc. The ending dhikr session led by Shaykh Muhammad Amin al-Hasanat Shah al-Qurashi mesmerized the audience in a moment of closeness with Allah (most high) and a moment of true pleasure and tranquility. Prayers being offered behind the leadership of these notable figures had their own sense of joy within them. For all, it was being present in a unique and different atmosphere, spending a day in the company of the pious and living for a moment the joy of true faith that has made this event one that will be remembered. May Allah (most high) grant Jamia Al-Karam and AKSA further success in promoting the inner real beauty of Islam in today’s atmosphere of distortion and smokescreens. Amin. Return to past events
